Registered Massage Therapy

A Registered Massage Therapist focuses on the assessment of the soft tissue and joints and the treatment and prevention of physical dysfunction and pain of the structures through the use of manual techniques.

Techniques used to help improve circulation, neutralize muscular tension, relieve pain, reduce stress and promote health and well-being.

The greatest benefit comes from prevention. Through a combination of massage and stretching techniques a massage therapist can enhance the training and performance of athletes.

Regular massage helps achieve a feeling of physical and emotional well-being; as a result maintaining ideal health. Anyone who routinely pushes their physical limits or is involved in repetitive activities from athletes to secretaries – will benefit from massage.

Many musculoskeletal injuries can be treated and prevented with massage.
How can our Massage Therapist help you?
Our Massage Therapists will incorporate therapeutic techniques such as Myofascial Release or Craniosacral Therapy in conjunction with deep tissue massage.

They will also provide you with home program stretches to help facilitate their treatments.

Our Massage Therapists will collaborate with other Sports Medicine practitioners as needed to direct your treatment.

Chiropractic Care

Chiropractic is a branch of health care specializing in the correction of biomechanical disorders of the spinal column and joint systems of the arms and legs. Biomechanical disorders deal with injuries to joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons, and their relationship with nerve function and pain (neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction).

Chiropractic care is highly effective and scientifically proven to relieve:

  • Low back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Whiplash
  • Headaches
  • Sacroiliac Pain
  • Knee injuries
  • Ankle injuries
  • Shoulder pain
  • Wrist pain

The treatment of low back pain, neck pain, and other conditions may include the use of ice and heat to help reduce pain and muscle spasm, as well as the prescription of proper flexibility, strengthening and cardiovascular exercise. In addition, advice on proper posture and ergonomics is provided to help restore function, thus allowing the patient to regain or continue with all of their daily activities.

Chiropractic care helps to relieve many conditions associated with spinal alignment, spinal nerves, joints of the arms and legs, and many others. Our licensed chiropractor utilizes different forms of treatment to meet the needs of each patient, such as Trigger Point therapy, joint mobilizations, and soft-tissue release.

The primary form of treatment in chiropractic care is the ADJUSTMENT (manipulation), which is a fast, short, highly specific, and controlled thrust directed at the joint, with the purpose of restoring joint motion and relieving pain. The use of this form of treatment distinguishes chiropractors from other health care professionals. Chiropractic adjustments have been proven to be a safe and effective form of therapy.
